![]() ![]() Is like judging someone playing in easy only because you like playing hard, let him be.Ī game is made to be enjoyed, if the devs allow people to have more way to enjoy it is automatically better. Some people don't understand that (or just don't want to), so they're kind of "legal cheats", and you can easily download any of them without a risk of being banned for using side programs and so on That's up to the player, we are not talking about a MOBA or a multiplayer game, so if someone wants to cheat is up to him. I have nothing against mods, just wanted to say, that there're enough of those that break game balance as well and make the game itself easier. yeha i would prefer a point of view of someone who isn't "racist" against mods and know what mods really do for games instead of bringing prejudice around. And the fact that people might not want to keep playing the front and center selling point is kind of a shame. That said, I think the DLC is arguably worth it overall, though the fact the dungeons are fully scripted kind of makes me feel like people will be turning it off on 2nd or 3rd playthroughs and just keeping the set trinkets and Flagellant active (at least I'm pretty sure you can do that >_>). Though not usually since Districts are SO expensive). I mean, the Districts are almost more interesting (since it's a 'do I save up for these or get normal upgrades?' question somtimes. If it was really engaging, or some sort of in depth system, or w/e, rather than just "Permanent semi-affliction" then you could argue that the expansion was offering a lot more than the average mod because it included a class, a dungeon, and an entirely new mechanic. Honestly, I feel like the biggest issue with the expansion is that the curse isn't interesting enough. PS: I made the same post on the suggestion area, but it seems that no one lurks that place xP What do you think guys? Of course this is just my personal opinion, if you like it how it is right now is good for you! ^^ I really like the enviroment and the enemies from the CC area but i have 0 reasons to go back there if not to get cursed and fight another Fanatic that AGAIN i have no reason to fight.Ħ) I hope you can see my point of view on this, as i said i love this dlc but at the same time there is just this domino effect of stuff that makes me hate it, not because is hard (that's welcomed) but because it feels like doing this stuff more than once just to see the "new boss style" is just wasted effort. They should have made a "new dungeon" and not a "new darkest dungeon" The loot is not that good, the curse makes you avoid going there and even once you defeated the final boss of the area (no spoilers here) making the curse more manageable what's the point in coming back? Why a scripted dungeon? Once you got all the trinkets sets this becomes garbage! I LOVE everything about this part and that's why is the part that i most hate. nothing really.)ĥ) The big stuff! The Crimson Court: This is GOOD i love the place, i love the enemies, i love the concept of trinket sets even if most of them are completely useless xD (if only they would hurry up to fix the Shrieker stealing forever the CC trinkets -.- ). where is the reward in fighting him? (Collector = Good Loot / Shambler = Good Loot / Fanatic =. I'm joking but they need to rebalance it, this game is all about high risk high rewards, but where are the rewards here?Ĥ) The new mini-boss the Fanatic: Cool concept nothing to say about him except for the exact thing i said about the curse. annoing at best? Is just a permadebuff (that can become a mildly useless buff compared to the debuff that brings the curse itself) that cause ruckus during your dungeon explorations and forces you to farm for blood to keep your chara alive.Īnnoing but it could've been worse, the question is: why are we paying for a disease? xD i like it but is it really worth it? Well let me explain.ġ) The Flagellant: i love him but is he really such a big deal? By taking a look at the mods you can see that there are a LOT of FREE new chara to add to the pool, and they all come with theyr trinkets and good balance (if the Flagellant can be called balanced with his OPiness then yeha they're mostly all balanced).Ģ) The rework of trinket and other minor balances here and there: Again you can find countless mods for FREE that do the same thing (and honestly speaking some of them did a better job than the devs, no offense but we need to give credit to those modders that do the same stuff with better balancing and with no one that pays em to do so.).ģ) The new curse: What can i say. I've played 20-30ish hours and i love this game.
